Reconstruction of cableway flow measurement at brook Hydrological Station
Although the nominal flow measurement range of the ultrasonic Doppler flow meter is 0.02-7 m/s, the actual low end can be measured to the millimeter level with a resolution of 1 mm.
The current measurement system of the cable channel has been partially modified. The probe of the ultrasonic Doppler current meter is used to replace the original rotor probe. The control box is installed above the lead fish. The measurement signal and control signal are transmitted wirelessly. It is composed of a computer and a wireless transmitting and receiving module. All operation controls are completed by the computer mouse. The computer displays the measured instantaneous flow rate and final flow rate data and stores them.
The whole transformation process is simple and does not destroy the original system, just replace the rotor probe with the rotor to measure flow. The modified system is easy to operate, and only one person can complete the work of driving the cable car and measuring the flow, and can measure the flow velocity as small as millimeters, which solves the current measurement problems of weak currents in many watersheds.
The figure of the modified underwater part and the main engine on the shore is shown below:
